This gene encodes one of the three enolase isoenzymes found in mammals. This isoenzyme, a homodimer, is found in mature neurons and cells of neuronal origin. A switch from alpha enolase to gamma enolase occurs in neural tissue during development in rats and primates. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]. SWISS: P09104 Gene ID: 2026 神經元特異性烯醇化酶（NSE）存在于神經元細胞和神經內分泌組織中，起源于神經內分泌細胞的腫瘤可產生過量的NSE。NSE也是小細胞肺癌的檢測指標，70％左右的小細胞肺癌患者血中NSE升高，而其他組織型肺癌NSE升高的患者僅為10％～20％。 |
